WHO WE ARE

Founded by Cypriot entrepreneur Mike Germanos, Modus Operandi Capital Management was established to commit the significant financial resources of its investors and to contribute its expertise towards developing growth-oriented projects.  The initial focus is to promote the full development of energy and related strategic assets across the Eastern Mediterranean region. 


Headquartered in Limassol, Cyprus, the Modus Operandi Capital team contributes their experience and value add across financial investments and operations to the portfolio investments Modus engages with. 

 

Modus Operandi Capital Management is the majority shareholder in the Guernsey based Cynergy Group alongside a consortium of diverse investors including  fund managers who invest on behalf of and with respected family-offices and sovereign investment funds. Modus Operandi Capital Management's majority shareholder is Mike Germanos.

Our main asset is the majority stake in the Cynergy Group which is structured to bid for, finance, and develop key energy and other strategic assets in the Eastern Mediterranean region.

London-born Cypriot entrepreneur Mike Germanos is the founder and Group CEO of Modus Operandi Capital Management and director of the Cynergy Group’s Cynergy East Med energy acquisition and development platform.

Prior to joining Modus Operandi as COO, Mr. Panicos Euripides was the Group CEO of the largest private sector company in the UAE that owns some of the most successful construction and oil and gas companies as well as the largest fleet operator of vessels, aviation, cranes, construction equipment & machinery in the UAE. Activities cover the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait (GCC) as well as the MENA and APAC regions. He has vast experience in corporate finance and restructuring, advising stakeholders of underperforming businesses and accelerating shareholder returns for some of the largest conglomerates in the Gulf and the wider Middle East; leading a wide variety of assignments in most industry sectors and geographies. He has advised on and implemented financial and performance restructurings, debt re-financings, operational turnaround and M&A solutions. Panicos has also led business initiatives in Cyprus with Israeli colleagues, introducing new and innovative technologies to the Cypriot market

Konstantinos Salantis serves as a strategic affairs and stakeholder management advisor to Modus Operandi Capital Management. Konstantinos studied Political Science, holds an MA in Diplomatic Studies and a Diploma in Humanitarian Studies. His main research interests include the changing geopolitical landscape of Eurasia, international and energy security, and regional and intrastate conflict in the Middle East and North Africa.

Josh Hantman is a corporate affairs and communications advisor to Modus Operandi Capital Management and Cynergy East Med. As a strategic communications and political advisor, Mr. Hantman has worked on communications strategies for leading corporations, NGOs and political candidates – including multiple presidents – on four different continents. He is also a founding partner of an international political consulting group, Number 10 Strategies LLP. ​ Prior to his current roles, Mr Hantman was Senior Advisor to Ambassador Ron Dermer in Washington, DC and the International Communications Advisor and Spokesperson for Israel’s Ministry of Defense. Josh holds an MA in Middle Eastern Studies from Harvard University and a BA in Oriental Studies from Oxford University.

David Kaplan is a strategic and corporate development advisor to Modus Operandi Capital Management. Kaplan has a decade of experience in capital markets and opened an advisory business in 2014, D.B.K. Advisors, that is focused on small and mid-cap companies seeking to improve their profiles, increase liquidity, and expand their investor base.  

Prior to assuming his current role as Senior Partner of D.B.K. Advisors, Kaplan was a securities analyst at Barclays Capital, Lehman Brothers, and UBS. David holds an International MBA from Bar Ilan University and a BA in History from Yeshiva University.
